I believe that every student is unique, and possesses the ability to learn and grow cognitively, physically, and emotionally. Each student has specific skills, talents, and abilities that must be encouraged and nurtured. I believe that students must be given the opportunity to make choices, express themselves, and learn how to learn.

I understand that there are many different learning styles. I will aim to present material that will blend different styles of learning, to give my students the best opportunity to succeed. It is my duty as an educator to provide an environment that is safe, encouraging, and caring, so that students are comfortable taking risks and expressing themselves. I believe in the importance of instilling values of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and respect. I will strive each day to approach my students with a positive outlook, an open mind, and a caring attitude. I will hold high expectations for my students, in order for them to reach their full potential each day. I believe that I owe it to my students and to myself to approach each day with diligence, consistency, and a desire to encourage those around me. Ultimately, I hope to provide the opportunities for my students to reach their full potential, and instill into them the desire to learn.
